Researcher, Advocate, Dog Mom


Olivia is a fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information. She studies Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on Family Informatics. Her dissertation addresses the role of technology in the everyday lives of children.

Throughout her research career, she has pursued research endeavors at the University of Michigan, Penn State University, Indiana University, and the University of Washington. More recently, she conducted research internships at Parkview Health System and PBS KIDS. 

Olivia was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She attended E.L. Meyers High School, where she was a member of the nationally recognized debate team, the drum major for the marching band, and the Salutatorian of the Class of 2015. Olivia pursued her B.S. in Mathematics at Penn State University, as a Millennium Scholar. 

In her free time, you can typically find Olivia volunteering, tutoring local children in math, studying wine, working out at Orangetheory Fitness, or playing in the backyard with her fiancé and their dogs, Jean and Bruno.
